Give yourself permission

To have a junk basket : ) It will seriously change your life !!! I get asked a lot how I can keep my kitchen/ dining area so tidy and this is one of the ways. I think when you become a mother you have to let a lot of things slide due to time, tiredness, cranky babies, working, dinner and the list goes on. So you need to find various coping mechanisms to deal with the clutter that arises all throughout the day. This was one of mine and I have never looked back.

I allow myself to have this basket of stuff on the bench that has no home, I can dump stuff in here all throughout the day and then clear it out when I have time. It keeps my bench and table free which keeps me happy.
